Marques de riscal 150 Anniversary
KES10,800Marqués de Riscal 150 Aniversario Gran Reserva is a wine which is only made in excellent vintages, originally created to mark the bodega’s 150th anniversary, as well as the history and winemaking traditions of the Rioja Alavesa.
In order to make the wine the mainly tempranillo grapes are harvested from some of the region’s oldest vineyard plots, with a minimum age of 80 years. These are generally venerable, low yielding vines which produce some of the most concentrated and flavoursome fruit of the harvest.
This wine combines modernity and tradition, offering complexity and freshness, power and flexibility; it is undoubtedly the most genuine expression of the Rioja Alavesa.

BARON DE CHIREL RESERVA
KES15,960Barón de Chirel Reserva is a modern classic which showcases the identity, tradition and modernity of Rioja.
The first vintage of Barón de Chirel, in 1986, was a response to the growing interest in fine quality Riojas. Since the outset, Marqués de Riscal has had very close ties with the winemaking methods of Bordeaux. At around that time Marqués de Riscal was working with a consultant named Professor Guy Guimberteau, successor to Émile Peynaud, who in his Bordeaux oenological training also had Francisco Hurtado de Amézaga as a student. Later, in 1997, Paul Pontallier, director general of one of the five Bordeaux premiers crus, Château Margaux, also joined. From this relationship sprang the idea of making an experimental wine which would revive the grandeur of those mythical Médoc Reservas brought right up to date with the technology and resources of the 20th century.
Vines aged between 80 and 110 years’ old were selected, with very low yields and better quality grapes. The wine was only made in the best vintages when the vines express the full character of the terroir; the “New Era of Rioja” had just begun. Pioneer and precursor of what would later be known as “high expression wines”. After the success when it first broke into a market hungry for fine quality wines, an endless procession of wines began to appear in the wake of Barón de Chirel, enjoying great prestige among the most discerning consumers

Formentera
KES900Made from the finest Chardonnay and Pardina grapes, Formentera White Ocean has a straw-yellow colour that expresses elegant aromas of citrus fruit, with a floral touch towards the finish.
On the palette, there is a distinct sensation of freshness accompanied with intense flavours of green fruit that stand out and persist. The well balanced acidity leaves a lasting, pleasant impression that tickles your taste buds.
The wine pairs well with pastas, white meats and fish – particularly shell fish.

Formentera
KES900Red Sea is the flagship of the Formentera range of wines.
Made from the finest tempranillo and Cabernet Sauvignon grapes, it is a well rounded, sweet wine that has hints of strawberry, plum and vanilla aromas, which are even stronger on the palatte.
It pairs well with goat, lamb and beef. The sweet fruity nature of this wine can also add a burst of flavour to white meats too.

FINCA TORREA RIOJA
KES6,720This wine has been made using tempranillo and graciano grapes from an old vineyard cultivated inside the Finca de Torrea estate – from Elciego, where the Marque’s de Riscal City of Wine is located.
Finca Torrea is a modern-style wine with a very up-to-date profile, more fruit and less herby in character and aged for a shorter time both in the cask and in the bottle. It is a different style to the wines that Marque’s de Riscal have traditionally made, not only due to its modern character, but also for the image of its label showing the map of the vineyard plots of the Finca de Torrea, inspired by the line of design marked by the architect Frank O.Gehry with the Hotel Marque’s de Riscal.
It is an elegant, fresh wine, easy to drink yet with a certain air of gravity, which really shows the quality of our Elciego vineyards.

Marques de riscal Sauvignon Blanc
KES2,400Marqu?s de Riscal Sauvignon Blanc 100% organic is a wine made with the minimum possible intervention and with total respect for the environment and the ecosystem surrounding us. Its fresh image represents a wine born of the land, of its roots, a sustainable, fine quality wine.
In 1974 Marqu?s de Riscal successfully introduced the French Sauvignon Blanc variety, originally from the Loire Valley region, in Rueda. Nowadays the bodega has 70 hectares of its own vineyards producing this grape and it is one of the varieties authorised by the Rueda Designation of Origin. .
Marqu?s de Riscal Sauvignon Blanc is the fruit of this innovating spirit from the 1970s which the bodega maintains as a reference today, immersed in this commitment to organic cultivation methods.

Marques de riscal Rueda
KES2,160At the start of the 1970s, Vinos de los Herederos del Marqu?s de Riscal decided to add a white wine to its product range. After two years? trials, the Rueda region was the one chosen to make it.
Faithful to its pioneering spirit, Marqu?s de Riscal created a new, young, fresh and fruity white wine in a region more famous for its sherry-style amontillados and olorosos. Other bodegas followed us, and the appellation of the D.O Rueda was set up in 1980. In order to achieve the best white wine in the region, it is important to highlight that Marqu?s de Riscal was advised by winemakers from Petaluma (Australia).
The D.O. Rueda is one of the few European winemaking districts specialized in making white wines and in the protection and development of its indigenous variety, Verdejo.

MARQUES DE RISCAL LIMOUSIN
KES2,640With its beauty, refinement and typicity, Marqu?s de Riscal Limousin represents the most outstanding qualities of the Verdejo grape, famed for its fragrance, fresh acidity and ageing potential.
This wine is made from grapes from bush vines 40 to 50 years old, cultivated in the best gravel soils of the highest terraces of the district of La Seca, and vines and ungrafted pre-phylloxera vines from the Segovia zone. The clusters are collected by hand one by one and taken to the winery in 15-kilo crates to avoid oxidation as far as possible. After stabilisation in cooled stainless steel vats, fermentation takes place in 600 litre wooden vats and the wine is left to age on the lees for up to 8 months.
The result of this process is a white wine with a particularly beautiful style which displays the potential and versatility of Verdejo, as well as the amazing potential of Rueda as one of the regions for the classic Spanish white wine.

Finca Montico Rueda
KES3,540inca Montico is a white wine made from 100% verdejo grapes from an old vineyard situated in the Montico estate within the borders of Rueda.
This wine has a modern style which offers varietal complexity and good body and finesse. It is a wine to enjoy fairly young, but laying down for a few years will bring it additional complexity and interest which is sure to surprise you.
With the 2018 vintage Finca Montico became one of a collection of 100% organic wines from Marqu?s de Riscal, from our ecological bodega in the D.O. Rueda, as part of our commitment to make our wines with the minimum possible intervention.

Marques de Riscal Rosado
KES2,040Marques de Riscal began making rose wines in the 60’s, coinciding with the centenary of the bodega, made from grapes grown on young vines less than 15 years’ old.
This rose is made by pressing in line with a concept of classicism and refinement, producing a delicacy, freshness and smoothness which are rare in this type of wine.
Its style is refreshing and easy to drink. It has immediate appeal thanks to its natural fruitiness, viscosity and fresh, clean personality. It is a lovely pale-pink colour, with fragrant red-berry aromas and hints of white blossom. It has a soft, smooth mouth-feel and a long, fresh finish.
