Marques de Riscal Rosado
Marques de Riscal began making rose wines in the 60’s, coinciding with the centenary of the bodega, made from grapes grown on young vines less than 15 years’ old.
This rose is made by pressing in line with a concept of classicism and refinement, producing a delicacy, freshness and smoothness which are rare in this type of wine.
Its style is refreshing and easy to drink. It has immediate appeal thanks to its natural fruitiness, viscosity and fresh, clean personality. It is a lovely pale-pink colour, with fragrant red-berry aromas and hints of white blossom. It has a soft, smooth mouth-feel and a long, fresh finish.
AIX is a well-balanced premium Provence rose with a typical hypnotising salmon pink colour. The nose is fresh and fragrant, delicate yet youthful with sophisticated notes of fresh red fruits, peach and subtle flower hints. It offers roundness on the palate and a beautiful aromatic depth, before finding freshness and some minerality in its long and precise finish. Made with love, passion and pride, AIX Rose is elegant, generous and delicious – with the power to make any moment of the day feel effortless.

The fruit for this wine came from vineyards located on the Nederburg farm in Paarl. Close proximity to the cellar is beneficial on two fronts: retaining freshness and minimising skin contact to achieve a light onion colour in the wine. Planted in 2007 in shale, with good water-holding capacity to buffer soil against heat waves and to protect the freshness of the fruit. The vines are trellised on vertical systems, with sufficient sunlight penetrating into canopies for more balanced acidity in the eventual wine
Colour Blush pink.
