  • MARQUES DE RISCAL LIMOUSIN

    KES2,640

With its beauty, refinement and typicity, Marqu?s de Riscal Limousin represents the most outstanding qualities of the Verdejo grape, famed for its fragrance, fresh acidity and ageing potential.

This wine is made from grapes from bush vines 40 to 50 years old, cultivated in the best gravel soils of the highest terraces of the district of La Seca, and vines and ungrafted pre-phylloxera vines from the Segovia zone. The clusters are collected by hand one by one and taken to the winery in 15-kilo crates to avoid oxidation as far as possible. After stabilisation in cooled stainless steel vats, fermentation takes place in 600 litre wooden vats and the wine is left to age on the lees for up to 8 months.

The result of this process is a white wine with a particularly beautiful style which displays the potential and versatility of Verdejo, as well as the amazing potential of Rueda as one of the regions for the classic Spanish white wine.

  • Marques de riscal Rueda

    KES2,160

At the start of the 1970s, Vinos de los Herederos del Marqu?s de Riscal decided to add a white wine to its product range. After two years? trials, the Rueda region was the one chosen to make it.

Faithful to its pioneering spirit, Marqu?s de Riscal created a new, young, fresh and fruity white wine in a region more famous for its sherry-style amontillados and olorosos. Other bodegas followed us, and the appellation of the D.O Rueda was set up in 1980. In order to achieve the best white wine in the region, it is important to highlight that Marqu?s de Riscal was advised by winemakers from Petaluma (Australia).

The D.O. Rueda is one of the few European winemaking districts specialized in making white wines and in the protection and development of its indigenous variety, Verdejo.

  • Marques de riscal Sauvignon Blanc

Marqu?s de Riscal Sauvignon Blanc is the fruit of this innovating spirit from the 1970s which the bodega maintains as a reference today, immersed in this commitment to organic cultivation methods.

  • NEDERBURG 5600 CHENIN BLANC

    KES1,470

This range of refreshing, fruity and smooth-drinking wines takes its name from the fifty-six hundred guilders that Philippus Wolvaart used in 1791 to start the farm he was to call Nederburg. A visionary who recognised the winegrowing potential of the land, he had the tenacity to tame the property and establish a farm that continues to flourish today.

    COLOUR Light green.
BOUQUET Intense aromas of sweet-melon, gooseberry and kiwi with lovely citrus undertones.
PALATE A well-balanced wine with delicate layers of stone fruit and citrus undertones. The wine has a fresh finish with lime notes towards the end.

  • NEDERBURG CHARDONNAY

    KES1,520

The Chardonnay grapes were sourced from top-performing vineyards in Darling and Stellenbosch. These are known as cool climate winegrowing areas, offering the benefit of slower ripening of the grapes to achieve greater flavour intensity. The vines are grown in granite and sandstone soils, resulting in grapes with higher natural acidity, adding to the vibrancy, freshness and longevity of the wine. The vines, ranging in age from 12 to 17 years, and situated on mostly south to south-westerly facing slopes, received supplementary drip irrigation. Grafted onto phylloxera-resistant rootstocks, Richter 99 and 101, the vines yielded an average of 8 to 10 tons per hectare. The Albariño grapes came from Stellenbosch, the Chenin blanc from Swartland, and the Gewürztraminer from Paarl.

  • NEDERBURG MANOR HOUSE SAUVIGNON BLANC

    KES2,490
The Manor House ultra-premium collection comprises single varietal wines made from some of Nederburg’s best-of-best fruit, inspired by the beautifully proportioned Cape Dutch manor house built in 1800 by Nederburg’s founder, Philippus Wolvaart.

This wine is made from Sauvignon blanc grapes.

The grapes were sourced from a single vineyard block in the Darling area. The block was harvested at two intervals based on phenolic ripeness. The vines, planted between 1996 and 2004, are grown in Tukulu and Oakleaf soils at altitudes ranging between 80m and 120m above sea level. The majority of the grapes grow under dryland conditions, on a vertical trellising system.

  • NEDERBURG SAUVIGNON BLANC

    KES1,420

The grapes were sourced from top-performing vineyards situated in the Darling, Cape Town and Ceres districts, all cool climate winegrowing areas with the benefit of slower ripening of the grapes to achieve greater flavour intensity. The vines are grown in granite and sandstone soils, resulting in grapes with a zestier and higher natural acidity, which adds to the freshness and longevity of the wine. Open vineyard canopies bring about greater sunlight penetration of the grape bunches, contributing to more balanced acidity, in turn making the wine deliciously palatable.

Colour Crisp with a touch of lime green.
Bouquet Aromas of a highveld thunderstorm and flinty, grassy smell with zingy lemon and granadilla notes.
Palate Dusty flint with lemon zest and marmalade flavours can be found on a balanced, refreshing palate. Vivacious acidity is poised by juicy fruit nuances with some granadilla and tropical notes noticeable.
